🐱 Can cats eat this? →Why
Plain yogurt is lower in lactose than milk and many dogs tolerate small amounts. Crucially, avoid flavoured or 'light' yogurts, which may contain added sugar or xylitol — the latter is toxic to dogs.
How much matters
Read the label and reject any yogurt containing xylitol ('birch sugar') or heavy added sugar.
If you do share it
A spoonful of plain, unsweetened, full-fat or Greek yogurt occasionally. Skip it if your dog is lactose-sensitive.
